A Letter to President Trump: Protecting Preborn Children in the United States of America
President Donald Trump marked the first full year of his second term in the White House this week. While his administration has supported American Christians in many important ways, he has also failed to protect preborn babies in our nation from abortion with the full political and cultural force of his office, falling short of his biblical and constitutional duties.
This letter from Foundation to Abolish Abortion President Bradley Pierce respectfully calls on President Donald Trump to repent of these sins and honor the Lord Jesus Christ by working toward the abolition of abortion in our nation.

Re: Protecting Preborn Children in the United States of America
Dear Mr. President,
I write to you today—one year into your second term—out of a mutual love for our country. Today, America sorrowfully finds herself suffering, I believe, under the righteous discipline and judgment of God.
Christians have the solemn duty to pray for the civil officials whom God has set over us,[1] and to honor our civil leaders.[2] Scripture also affirms believers calling kings to do justice[3] and bearing witness before rulers.[4] In that tradition, I petition you as a servant of God, urging you to wield the sword of justice to protect the preborn children of our nation.[5]
Judgment from God
According to Romans 1, when a society rejects our Creator, sins like sexual rebellion follow as God hands us over to debased minds. When we do not heed His discipline, we descend further into debauchery, until the society around us is filled with violence, murder, and a generation that applauds these things.[6] This is where America is right now. We have rejected the God of our fathers for the god of self, elevated disordered sexual expression as central to personal identity, and embraced child sacrifice through abortion. Scripture makes clear that God hears the innocent blood that cries to Him for justice.[7]
Under your second administration, our nation has witnessed a number of tragic public murders. We saw Iryna Zarutska stabbed in the throat on a train in Charlotte. We saw Charlie Kirk shot in the neck on a college campus in Utah. We are grateful that—with your support—the alleged murderers are being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It is right to be outraged by their murders and to demand justice. But we should also be outraged by the daily murder of thousands of preborn children in our land.
No nation that murders its own children with the approval of its laws can be considered a great nation. To truly make America great again, we must abolish abortion and criminalize the murder of preborn children for all parties willfully involved. And we must do so in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ—the One who blessed this nation and first made her great through His kind providence.
Repent and Obey
We are thankful for many of your policies, including your efforts to protect the freedoms of American Christians. But we are gravely concerned that there are many ways in which your own words and actions have encouraged and abetted abortion. Therefore, with humility and respect, and by the authority of Jesus Christ, we call you to repentance before God for actions and omissions that have helped sustain the abortion holocaust in our nation, such as these:
In January 2023, after the midterm elections, you stated[8] the following: “It was the ‘abortion issue,’ poorly handled by many Republicans, especially those that firmly insisted on No Exceptions, even in the case of Rape, Incest, or Life of the Mother, that lost large numbers of Voters.” In several[9] other public statements,[10] you have continued to defend the legality of murdering babies when they are conceived in rape or incest.
In September 2023, during an interview with “Meet the Press,” you described the six-week abortion regulation in Florida as a “terrible thing and a terrible mistake,” not for failing to protect children enough, but because it was too restrictive on abortion.[11]
In June 2024, while debating now-former President Joe Biden, you promised[12] that you would “not block” access to the abortion pill, saying that “the Supreme Court just approved the abortion pill and I agree with the decision to have done that.” Since returning to office, your administration has refused to enforce restrictions on access to the abortion pill, despite federal laws on the books that ban their shipment.
In October 2025, you announced efforts to “lower costs and expand access” for IVF, a practice supported by an industry which generally relies on the mass discarding, selective aborting, and indefinite freezing of preborn children.[13]
In January 2026, you told House Republicans to be “flexible” on the Hyde Amendment amid health policy debates, implying willingness to compromise on paying for abortions with taxpayer funds.[14]
Among other examples, these grievous departures from the mandate you have from God to protect all persons made in His image are sins that require repentance.
God commands civil leaders to defend the fatherless, as follows:
Psalm 82:3-4 — “Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.”
Isaiah 1:17 — “Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.”
Jeremiah 22:3 — “Thus says the LORD: ‘Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong and do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.’”
In keeping with repentance, during your remaining three years in office, we humbly urge you to defend preborn babies to the greatest extent your office will permit, such as:
Using your bully pulpit to proclaim the sanctity of human life made in the image of God, calling for the abolition of abortion at every level of government.
Issuing an executive order directing all federal agencies to treat the lives of preborn human beings—from fertilization—as equally protected as born human beings.
Rescinding the Biden administration memo[15] on the Comstock Laws and enforcing those laws against abortion pills, etc.
Appointing only judges who support applying the Fourteenth Amendment’s equal protection clause to preborn children from fertilization.
Calling for Congress to pass legislation that would:
Create a federal cause of action to sue states that deny prenatal human beings equal protection under homicide laws;
Condition federal funds on states extending homicide protections to prenatal victims;
Ban crossing state lines for prenatal homicide;
Permanently defund abortion providers;
Repeal the rape and incest exceptions in the Hyde Amendment; and
If states still fail to act, enact a federal homicide statute protecting the lives of preborn human beings.
Mr. President, you have now twice taken the oath to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” In order to fulfill this oath, and to obey the commands of God, you must seek to abolish abortion, enforcing the Fourteenth Amendment and other federal laws against prenatal homicide.
Kiss the Son
Everyone will stand before God in judgment and provide an account of themselves. When you stand before God, our greatest concern is that you are trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for your salvation. But we also desire for you to stand before God having faithfully exercised your authority to the greatest extent possible to restrain the murder of preborn babies.
God has made you the President of the United States for such a time as this. While you are commanded to “kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath is quickly kindled,” please remember also that “blessed are all who take refuge in Him.”[16]
We are praying, and will continue to pray, that you will know this blessing from the Lord Jesus Christ, and that you will help establish justice in our land by working to abolish abortion in His name.
Respectfully,
Bradley Pierce
President
