House Bill 3038, which is co-sponsored by Oklahoma State Senator Warren Hamilton, would acknowledge the sanctity of life made in the image of God and the protections that must be extended to all persons under the Fourteenth Amendment.

Delegates who attended the Oklahoma Republican Party convention moved to censure four members of the State Senate who voted against SB 456, also known as the Abolition of Abortion in Oklahoma Act.

SB 456, the Abolition of Abortion Act, received a hearing in the Oklahoma Senate Judiciary Committee. After over an hour of robust debate over the bill, the committee ultimately voted down SB 456, in a 6-2 vote.

State Senator Dusty Deevers filed SB 456 which would abolish abortion in Oklahoma by providing the equal protection of the laws to every preborn child.
